Products Description

Brief Introduction
WORTAI polymeric insulators of the DS series are used for suspension or dead-end installations in electrical power distribution systems, replacing conventional porcelain or glass insulator chains.
Polymeric insulators are initially manufactured using a fiberglass rod (as the core), which is attached to metal fittings—specifically, clevis and tongue components made of specially forged steel with a hot-dip galvanized coating. Subsequently, an insulating envelope (crafted from high-quality silicone rubber) is applied to this assembly. The end result is a compact, lightweight insulator that boasts exceptional mechanical resistance and high durability against harsh weather conditions.
The key advantages of using WORTAI DS series insulators are as follows:
• The insulator’s housing and sheds are constructed from silicone rubber via one-shot injection molding. This process ensures that the interface between the rubber and the rod is completely impermeable to moisture ingress.
• The insulator’s core rod is made of fiberglass, which delivers excellent electrical insulation performance and mechanical strength.
• Silicone rubber’s high hydrophobicity effectively suppresses surges in leakage current.
• Superior operational performance in polluted environments.
• Lightweight design, facilitating easier handling and installation.
• All WORTAI silicone insulators are manufactured and tested in compliance with ANSI C29.13 and IEC 1109 standards.
