Products Description
JSGW-0.5 5-Leg Voltage Transformer: Auxiliary Secondary Winding Fixes Relay Protection Needs
This voltage transformer is an upgraded, compact dry-type three-phase transformer featuring five legs (with an auxiliary secondary winding). Specifically engineered for AC power systems operating at 50Hz and rated voltages of 3kV, 6kV, or 10kV, it plays a critical role in voltage monitoring, power measurement, and relay protection—delivering reliable performance for core electrical system management tasks.
Structurally, this transformer adopts an outer-iron core design, paired with three inner core legs and two outer core legs—all integrated into its dry-type insulation system. This dry-type construction eliminates the need for insulating oil, reducing maintenance requirements, minimizing fire risks, and making it suitable for installation in environments where oil-filled equipment is restricted (such as indoor switchgear or areas with strict safety standards).
In terms of wiring identification, the transformer features clear output markings for easy integration: the primary winding is labeled A, B, C, O; the main secondary winding is marked a, b, c, o; and the auxiliary secondary winding is designated ad, xd. These standardized labels simplify on-site wiring and reduce the risk of connection errors during installation.
A critical operational note: if voltage is applied to the primary winding while the secondary winding is short-circuited, the transformer will burn out. Strict adherence to this warning is essential to prevent equipment damage and ensure the safe, stable operation of the entire power system.
